Economical activities

The agriculture is still very important in the economy of Vilallonga. The irrigated lands, which use the water of the Glorieta River, of wells and mines, occupy more than half of the cultivable lands The most important crops are the hazel trees, the vineyard, the almond, the olive, the carob and the peach trees, and the orchards.
The cattle raising and the industry have not really relevant.

Relative to the demography, after the decrease in the population that took place between 1930 and 1955, it has been increasing since then. The cause might be the situation of Vilallonga to the industrial nucleus of El Morell and La Pobla de Mafumet.

Nowadays, there are 1.220 inhabitants.
